Exterior cladding in Golden Granite G682 for a commercial complex: 25 mm flamed panels with polished bands, produced from our own quarry blocks in Suizhou.
The Challenge
Golden Granite varies noticeably between block lots, and the developer needed the warm golden tone to stay consistent across four separate buildings.
Deadlines were tight: the facade contractor needed 3,800 m2 of finished panels on site within 60 days of the shop drawings being signed off.
The Results
We allocated three adjacent block lots at the quarry and blended slabs across them, then dry-laid sample panels at the factory for the architect to approve before cutting.
Panels were cut to the numbered drawings at 25 mm with a flamed face and 60 mm polished border, drilled and slotted for concealed anchors.
Production ran on two shifts and all 3,800 m2 shipped in five containers inside 52 days.
