Solid White Grain Granite steps, landings and kerbs for a 2.1 km riverside park walkway, supplied in bush-hammered and flamed finishes.

The Challenge
Because the walkway follows the river bank, most steps needed non-standard widths and several landings were cut as single pieces over 1.8 m long.
The client also required a visible anti-slip groove on every tread and a bullnose edge that would not chip under public use.
The Results
Steps were cut from single blocks in 50 mm and 80 mm thickness, with 5 mm anti-slip grooves sawn into each tread and a 10 mm bullnose on the front edge.
Kerbs were produced in 1000x300x150 mm with a flamed top face and sawn sides, packed upright in steel-strapped bundles to prevent edge damage in transit.
Six containers shipped over two months, and the contractor installed the whole run without a single replacement piece.
